Counter Strike New Revealed
Valve finally revealed Counter Strike New after weeks of rumors. It's an update for CS:GO that will put the game on the Source 2 engine and make some major visual changes.

Smokes
Counter Strike New has a massive update that will alter the way smokes are used in the game. The changes are being described as responsive smokes and will be a significant game changer. The client will keep track of each of these tiny increments and send them to the server. The server will then send the updated game state back to players. The servers will now know the exact moment when you shot, jumped, peeked and other inputs.
The video does not provide all the information. However, it does explain that each piece sent by the client has a timestamp and that the server will gather all information in chronological order from all players before sending it back. According to the video it is believed that a CS: GO server will be able to send more than twice the data as a 64-tick servers.
This means that even if the tick rate of the game increased to 128 Hz, the game will still be able to handle your commands immediately. It's not solely about increasing the tick rate also, the micro-tick updates will also reduce input lag and latency by guaranteeing that the server will respond to your actions without delays or glitches.
Obviously, this is only the beginning of the technical enhancements Valve is making to the game.
